Strategies

Real EstateReal Estate
We lend to real estate owners and invest opportunistically in private and public real estate markets, providing credit solutions where there are capital gaps, and acquiring assets to create thematic portfolios in sectors we believe have strong fundamentals – all with an unwavering focus on unlocking value for our investors. Värde’s broad experience allows us to invest flexibly across the real estate capital structure in both residential and commercial real estate as opportunities arise and cycles evolve. Established networks and relationships developed through longevity in target markets support differentiated deal flow. Värde’s in-house asset management team and ownership interest of an industry-leading loan servicer allow us to enhance value throughout the investment lifecycle. Institutional underwriting, operational and financing expertise, including an in-house Capital Markets team, support our ability to move quickly and scale strategies with efficient financing.
Private DebtPrivate Debt
We invest across corporate credit markets, trading credit and providing capital solutions in dislocated and inefficient markets. Looking across the liquidity and return spectrums, we seek to capture the best relative value. As banks and traditional providers of capital retrench, we believe we are advantageously positioned with the sector-specific expertise and platform capabilities to capitalize on the unfolding credit cycle revolving around real estate and financials. We invest opportunistically across dislocated credit markets, providing private capital solutions in areas where there is reduced public market and bank credit availability. Our traded credit investing is long-biased with a bottom-up fundamental research approach. We focus on active, value-oriented credit selection, which we believe is key to generating high-quality returns with downside protection and lower than market volatility.
