SLR Consulting (“SLR”), a leading global environmental and advisory consultancy backed by Charterhouse Capital Partners (“Charterhouse”), one of the longest established private equity firms operating in Europe, has announced the acquisitions of Corporate Citizenship and Vectos.

These two add-ons bring the total number of acquisitions made by SLR in the last two years to seven, and contribute to the company’s ongoing transformation through its strategy of building a market leader in the fragmented environmental and advisory consultancy market. The add-ons further strengthen SLR’s global footprint and strategic offering in ESG, sustainability and low carbon, where demand continues to grow significantly.

Charterhouse acquired SLR in June 2018. Founded in 1994, SLR is a UK-headquartered global pure-play environmental and advisory consultancy providing bespoke, strategic, and technical services across the lifecycle of complex asset types. The company serves customers in the Built Environment; Energy; Financial; Industrial; Infrastructure; Mining and Minerals; and Power sectors, with over 70 offices in Europe, US, Canada, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Africa.

Vectos is a leading consultancy in transport and mobility planning, infrastructure design and flood risk, with offices in the UK and Germany. The company’s expertise spans strategic planning; low carbon mobility and accessibility; and engineering solutions to help clients define, plan and implement solutions on a wide range of assets and developments, working with complex stakeholder groups. The acquisition will significantly enhance SLR’s ESG and advisory services in the Infrastructure and Built Environment sectors.

Corporate Citizenship is a global advisory firm specialising in responsible and sustainable business, with over 20 years of experience in advising clients to develop and implement strategies that deliver long-term value for all stakeholders. The company provides ESG strategy and reporting services, social and environmental impact consulting and other sustainability consulting services to multi-national companies and has operations in the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. The combination of SLR and Corporate Citizenship creates a market leading practice in ESG advisory, reporting, and technical services.

SLR has a strong acquisition pipeline, and will continue to pursue M&A strategies to diversify its global offering, improve cross-selling opportunities, and capitalise on growing client demand for support in addressing environmental, social and governance issues critical to the long term sustainability of their businesses.
