Strategies
InfrastructureInfrastructure
We invest in building new infrastructure and repurposing high-quality legacy assets that are required for the net-zero economy. As one of the first movers in industrial decarbonization investing, we have a front row seat in a market that is now ripe for infrastructure capital. Ara Infrastructure is the natural extension of our private equity strategy, enabling us to unlock value across a wider industrial value chain. It addresses the growing need for asset-focused investment as well as providing the fastest and most economical route to meet global climate targets. We look for mid-market businesses in North America and Europe with classic infrastructure characteristics that are undergoing significant growth from the structural tailwinds of decarbonization. We focus on businesses that benefit from contracted revenues, inflation linkage and cash flow generating assets. We invest in proven, commercial-scale technologies with strong downside protection that are not exposed to fluctuations in commodity prices. We target businesses that can deliver >60% reduction in GHG emissions at the asset level compared to the market incumbent.
EnergyReal Estate
We reduce carbon emissions across the conventional energy value chain. We bring a portfolio of proven decarbonization solutions, a strong history retrofitting existing infrastructure, and decades of expertise in energy and commodities markets to address this challenge. We acquire existing, commissioned power generation, biofuels, and distribution businesses to assume full operations and implement a multilayered approach to decarbonization. Our strong reputation as a trusted partner, combined with deep expertise in energy and commodity markets, grants us access to premier investment opportunities where we identify cost-effective pathways to emissions reduction. We invest in conventional energy assets across the value chain, ensuring they continue to meet global energy needs while advancing our commitment to a sustainable future.
