Qualitas Energy, a leading global investment and management platform with a dual focus on both funding and developing renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure, announced today its membership in Spaincap and Spainsif, becoming a new partner of both organisations. The decision underscores the company’s dedication to sustainability, responsible investment, and the advancement of the renewable energy sector in Spain and globally.
Spaincap represents Spain’s Venture Capital & Private Equity sector, bringing together investment firms, including insurers and pension funds. Its members invest in unlisted companies across various stages of growth—from startups to established businesses—providing not only long-term financing but also innovation and strategic guidance to drive their expansion.
Spainsif, meanwhile, is a non-profit organisation which promotes Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) in Spain. It serves as a collaborative hub for financial institutions, insurers, asset managers, service providers, academic institutions, non-profits, and major trade unions, fostering initiatives that align capital with sustainability goals.
By joining these organisations, Qualitas Energy reinforces its commitment to the energy transition and the financing of projects aligned with decarbonisation and sustainable development goals. The firm currently manages a portfolio of 11 GW of operational and development-stage assets across Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Chile, and the United States, driving strategic investments that deliver long-term value for both investors and society. The energy generated by these assets has powered more than 446,000 homes, supporting emissions reductions and strengthening the transition to a more sustainable energy future.
“Becoming a member of Spaincap and Spainsif is a significant milestone in our strategy for responsible and sustainable investment. Through collaboration with these organisations, we can continue to drive projects that contribute to a cleaner, more efficient future,” said
Lucía Sánchez-Ocaña, Global Head of Compliance and Sustainability at Qualitas Energy.
