Equitix announces the acquisition of seven additional stakes in Building Schools for the Future (“BSF”) infrastructure projects from International Public Partnerships Limited (“INPP”).

Equitix, the UK’s leading investor in social infrastructure projects, has further consolidated its majority stakes in each of the following seven BSF projects: Barking & Dagenham BSF, Barnsley BSF Phase One, Barnsley BSF Phase Two, Barnsley SPV Phase Three, Cambridgeshire BSF, Derbyshire BSF and Essex BSF Phase One.

The portfolio covers 15 secondary schools and colleges, including a SEN school, across England and serves more than 18,000 pupils. The projects are underpinned by government backed long term inflation-linked income and have long term senior debt.

Equitix is also one of the largest providers of PPP social infrastructure assets in the UK, delivering over 80,000 school pupil places. Thanks to its extensive and diverse portfolio, Equitix benefits from a substantial latent deal flow by acquiring additional stakes in its existing assets. Each year, Equitix reports numerous transactions originating from this source and anticipates this trend will persist, with this bilateral transaction serving as yet another example.

Completion of the transaction is subject to the finalisation of certain conditions, including lender consents.

Equitix was advised by Fladgate (legal).
