We’re investing in thriving economies, building and acquiring infrastructure assets across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Our integrated approach fosters knowledge sharing and collaboration among our global infrastructure professionals. InfraTechInfrastructure
We launched our InfraTech® strategy to identify innovative tech companies that are disrupting the infrastructure value chain. We leverage direct access to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure companies during diligence, which gives us valuable feedback, product testing, and commercial consideration to help us reduce market acceptance risk for our prospective investments. Our strategy combines infrastructure buyout specialists with technology venture investing expertise. Our experience in optimizing infrastructure businesses identifies gaps where innovation might thrive.
Growth MarketsInfrastructure
Our Growth Market strategy focuses on acquiring and modernizing key infrastructure across high-growth economies, targeting mid-range and significant opportunities in utilities, transport, digital infrastructure, community projects, and energy sectors. At the heart of our strategy is our commitment to increasing value while meticulously managing risks through our proprietary risk model. We choose assets by comparing risk and return on a global scale, avoid over-enthusiasm in growing markets, and swiftly secure assets when opportunities arise. Since founding, I Squared Capital’s investments in emerging economies represent $18 billion in enterprise value across 12 countries in diverse sectors including energy, utilities, transportation, social infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and environmental infrastructure. We actively work with multilateral institutions when we invest in Growth Markets including the United States International Development Finance Corporation (or DFC), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and others. DFC has recently committed to invest $300 million alongside ISQ in projects that seek to support climate change resilience, adaptation, and mitigation in Asia and Latin America. Our localized teams focus on seeking meaningful returns and a commitment to mid-market excellence, all while navigating complex business terrains, regulations, and solutions that genuinely resonate within the communities we serve.

Founded in 2011, G Squared is aligned to a fundamental shift – venture-backed companies stay private longer. As a result, private companies need both primary capital to continue their growth trajectory and transitional capital to provide liquidity to early investors, current and former employees, and other sellers. Positioned at the crux of this liquidity access challenge, G Squared partners with portfolio companies throughout their lifecycle using a fundamentally different approach than traditional VCs. We invest in companies that challenge the status quo and demonstrate a clear path to superior returns, partnering world-class entrepreneurs tackling big problems. G Squared funds have invested in household names such as 23andMe, Coursera, Instacart, Lyft, Pinterest, and Spotify, and in the next generation of disruptors including Auto1 Group, Blend, Bolt, Brex, Capsule, Flexport, Impossible Foods, Toast, and Turo.
