Equitix announces the appointment of Ted Frith
Equitix is pleased to announce that Ted Frith has been appointed as Head of Business Development in the UK, effective 3rd March.

With a significant portion of Equitix’s funds derived from pension capital, one of Ted’s priorities will be driving further collaboration with UK based pension funds as Equitix seeks to grow its presence in the UK.

The UK continues to require increasing levels of investment for infrastructure fit for the future. Local pension capital has the potential to meet the needs of local areas by funding the required local projects and infrastructure, generating social and financial impact. With 300 projects spanning multiple sectors in every corner of the country, Equitix invests, develops and manages assets which materially contribute to the lives of the communities it serves, supporting the government to deliver its public policy goals.

Ted brings more than 30 years of experience working in financial services, most recently at GLIL Infrastructure where he served as Chief Operating Officer. At GLIL Infrastructure, Ted led the growth of the platform’s infrastructure investment fund to position GLIL Infrastructure as a major investor in UK real assets.  GLIL’s capital is derived from local government pension schemes as well as the UK’s National Employment Savings Trust. Ted previously worked at Aspect Capital Limited where he was responsible for driving the growth of the European operations of the business.

Paul Winters, COO said: “We are delighted to welcome Ted to Equitix to support our investor relations and business development strategy. We believe that pension capital can help develop the vital national and regional infrastructure the UK needs, creating thousands of green jobs in the process and supporting the innovation needed to skill and reskill a labour workforce fit for the future. Equitix plays a pivotal role in attracting pension fund investment into the UK and contributing to UK economic growth.”

Ted Frith, Head of Business Development, said: “I am pleased to be joining the Equitix team to further expand our presence in the UK and boost much-needed investment into UK infrastructure.”
